📅 ULA EDU: Finnish for Professionals (A1 – B1)

Level 1: Foundation & Survival (A1.1 – A1.3)

Goal: Basic communication and daily life in Finland.

Module 1: The Basics: Alphabet, vowel harmony (ä/ö/y), and pronunciation (phonetic reading).

Module 2: Daily Life: Numbers, telling time, days of the week, and weather.

Module 3: Social Basics: Greetings, introducing yourself, and ordering food ("Saisinko kahvin?").

Module 4: Grammar 1: Verb types 1-6 (Present tense), basic sentence structure (Subject-Verb-Object), and partitive case basics.

Cultural Focus: Finnish "Silence," personal space, and the importance of punctuality.

Level 2: Vocational Entry (A2.1 – A2.2)

Goal: Pass the Vocational School (VET) entrance interview.

Module 5: The Working World: Naming tools, safety equipment, and workplace instructions.

Module 6: Describing Skills: Talking about past experience, education (ITI/Diploma), and future goals.

Module 7: Grammar 2: Past tenses (Imperfect/Perfect), local cases (where from, where to), and consonant gradation.

Module 8: Interview Prep: Mock video interviews, writing a Finnish-style CV, and common entrance exam questions.
